DAS LABS · Privacy
Privacy policy.
PropulsionLab is an educational web tool. It does not require an account, does not set tracking cookies, and is built so that the smallest possible amount of data has to flow through it. This page says exactly what is collected, by whom, and why — in plain language, no legalese.
Last updated: 8 June 2026.
What is collected
Aggregate page views (Plausible Analytics). When you visit a page on
daslabs.uk, a single small request is sent to Plausible recording the page URL,
the referrer (the previous page, if there is one), an anonymised country/region (derived
from your IP at request time, the IP itself is never stored), and a coarse device type
(desktop/mobile/tablet). Plausible is cookieless: no identifier is set
on your device, you are not tracked across sessions, and the data is not used for
advertising. The data is aggregated into anonymous counts.
Error reports (Sentry, when an error occurs). If the app throws a JavaScript or server-side exception, a single report is sent to Sentry containing the stack trace, the browser version, the operating system, and the URL where the error happened. This is used to fix bugs. Personal data is not deliberately collected, and Sentry is only active in production with a Sentry DSN configured.
Hosting access logs (Fly.io). Like any web service, the host Fly.io records ordinary HTTP access logs — IP, timestamp, request path, response code — for the purpose of routing traffic, blocking abuse, and operating the platform. These logs are retained by Fly.io under their own privacy terms and are not used by DAS LABS for any analytical purpose.
What is not collected
- No accounts, names, email addresses, or other identifiers are required to use the app.
- No tracking cookies. None at all — neither first-party nor third-party.
- No browser fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking, no advertising profiles.
- No personal data is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile of you.
- The simulation inputs you type into the dashboard stay on your device. They are only sent to the server when you press a "Run" button, are used solely to compute the cycle result, and are not stored after the response is returned.
Sub-processors
The site relies on three external services for hosting and operation. The data each sees is limited to what is technically required for the service to work.
- Fly.io — application hosting (London region). Sees HTTP requests and serves responses. Privacy policy.
- Plausible Analytics — cookieless aggregate page-view counts. Privacy policy.
- Sentry — error and exception reporting, only when the app errors. Privacy policy.
Your rights
Because PropulsionLab does not identify you, deletion / export / rectification requests for personal data are mostly not applicable — there is nothing personal to delete or export. If you believe a specific piece of data should be removed, or you have any question about how the site handles data, please email aineshdas120706@gmail.com and the request will be handled within a reasonable time.
If you are located in the UK or EU and have a complaint about how your personal data is handled, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (or your national supervisory authority).
Children
PropulsionLab is educational and freely available. There is no age gate. Because no personal data is collected, there is nothing to specifically protect for users under 13 / 16 — but the site is intended for university-age and adult learners.
Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS with a Let's Encrypt certificate that renews automatically. The application source code is publicly auditable on GitHub.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change and the new version will replace the old one at this URL. Material changes will be highlighted in the project changelog on GitHub.
